Bridal Gowns: Black & Nude Beauties

by Lotoya Vongrechin on April 25, 2012

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon the late-morning talk show The View. Vera Wang was announced as a guest, there to give a sneak peek at her fall 2012 bridal collection. Okay, that piqued my interest. My jaw dropped at the site of the very first dress: a stunning nude and black ball gown. Each dress thereafter was beautifully constructed in trumpet, mermaid and sheath silhouettes with dreamy fabrics of lace, chiffon, silk, tulle and organza. So gorgeous, I’m swooning! What a way to make a statement on your wedding day!

Go on, allow yourself to fall in love. And if this nontraditional palette is not right for you, keep in mind that each gown is also available in white and ivory.

Click here to watch this segment from The View online, then come back and let me know: Could you wear a black wedding dress on your big day?

A few years back, I would have never dreamed of NOT wearing white, but now, a few years later, I am a completely different person and would love the statement that a black gown would make! I am getting ready to launch a stationery line for couples who value alternative weddings–steampunk, goth, etc. This blog post will definitely serve as some inspiration for that new stationery line. Thank you!

Colored bridal gowns are very unique. They are popular on the runways, I’ve seen red, pink and blue. I am excited to know I serve as inspiration for your stationery creativity. This is why I enjoy writing this blog!

It is so interesting how trends change from year to year, even less than a year! Can’t wait to see what’s coming up ahead.

I have learned bridal trends change with fashion. Bridal fashion week occurs twice a year. Last month fashion week showed colors; pink, red and sky blue. Ahhhhmazing.

The MLS has a great online streaming setup – $60 gets you a year of live streamed and streams of anything 2 days old or more after-the-fact.No such luck for anything European, far as I know; you have to rely on &#9lo;un0fficia3' sources for those. Following a season in a pub can get very expensive.
